I do have many friends around the globe, especially some very closed ones in North Africa.

And now I would like to tell you, why I am calling for donation.

One of my very dear friends was diagnosed with Lung cancer at the beginning of 2019. Uncountable doctor visits, tests over tests

followed, which means exploding health care costs for him and his family. Unfortunately in most of North African and Middle Eastern countries you don't have any medical insurance, especially when the age is above 60. Governmental Pensions are too low to cover such high medical expenses. They are even to low to make life generally bearable.

His treatment started in March and will include at least 2 cycles. Each cycle lasts 3 months and will need 6 Avastin 400 mg injections combined with a chemo therapy. So two cycles means 12 Avastin 400 mg in total. We hope a 3rd cycle won't be necessary!

An Operation is not recommended by the specialists!

Avastin 400 mg is absolutely expensive = approx. 803 USD per injection = 9.636 USD for 12 injections.

One cycle will cost in total 5.760 USD for all needed medication.

As there are only few savings available it is impossible to provide the needed money for the whole treatment.
